Why did you choose your specialty?
I was drawn to the breadth of training that a family medicine residency provides. I was trained to treat patients of all age groups. I was also trained to be a patient advocate and provide comprehensive healthcare.
What do you like most about being a doctor?
I love the daily combination of patient care and the academic challenge that practicing medicine provides.
If you weren’t a doctor, what would you do?
I would be a writer. I love to write. I used to write poetry and short stories.
How do you ensure your patients feel heard during their visit?
I make a point to address every concern to the best of my ability, and I approach everything with a positive attitude.
What is something that people may be surprised to know about you?
I am a foodie. I like to try different cuisines and have even had friends ship delicacies to me from various cultures.
Why did you choose St. Dominic’s?
I chose St. Dominic’s because of its reputation. I wanted to work at a hospital that offered great resources and a diverse patient population. I desire to stay because of the open and welcoming atmosphere and the camaraderie.
