What is your specialty?
Podiatric Surgery
Why did you choose your specialty?
I chose podiatry due to the multifaceted nature of the field. It combines aspects of multiple different specialties to treat a wide array of challenging pathologies.
If you weren’t a doctor, what would you do?
If I was not a physician, I would have studied history and pursued a career as a museum curator.
How do you ensure your patients feel heard during their visit?
I view myself as a patient liaison, whose job is to help them navigate their problems and possible treatment options. I make it a point to thoroughly discuss the benefits and risks of each option I present to the patient. I believe this makes the patient feel more involved in the decision-making process and understand the rationale behind it.
What is something that people may be surprised to know about you?
Something people would be surprised to know is I am a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Why did you choose the Medical Group?
I chose the St. Francis Medical Group because of its strong leadership in administration. This group, unlike many throughout the nation, works very cohesively with the providers in the organization. Together, without contention, this allows for more fluid, dynamic and efficient delivery of healthcare to the Monroe/West Monroe community at large.
