What is your specialty?

Family Medicine

Why did you choose your specialty?

I was drawn to the breadth of training that a family medicine residency provides. I was trained to treat patients of all age groups. I was also trained to be a patient advocate and provide comprehensive healthcare.

What do you like most about being a doctor?

I love the daily combination of patient care and the academic challenge that practicing medicine provides.

If you weren’t a doctor, what would you do?

I would be a writer. I love to write. I used to write poetry and short stories.

How do you ensure your patients feel heard during their visit?

I make a point to address every concern to the best of my ability, and I approach everything with a positive attitude.

What is something that people may be surprised to know about you?

I am a foodie. I like to try different cuisines and have even had friends ship delicacies to me from various cultures.

Why did you choose St. Dominic’s?

I chose St. Dominic’s because of its reputation. I wanted to work at a hospital that offered great resources and a diverse patient population. I desire to stay because of the open and welcoming atmosphere and the camaraderie.
