Kenisha Williamson originally chose to work at St. Dominic’s thanks to her grandmother who worked here for 35 years. “I choose to stay because of the work-life balance, sense of purpose, trust in leadership and emotional investment,” says Williamson.
Growth within St. Dominic’s
Williamson believes St. Dominic’s is a special place to work because leadership has encouraged and supported her growth within the company over the years. She has worked across several departments, including the MRI department, respiratory department and now serving as a patient access representative for the St. Dominic’s Medical Associates Adult General Surgery.
Words Carry Weight
Williamson reflects on her journey at St. Dominic’s, “I have realized that my purpose lies in the things that are artistic and personal. I care about the impact in my daily interactions with patients and team members.”
She has set a personal goal of listening more and speaking less because, “although my words matter, they also carry weight and I must learn to use them well,” says Williamson.
During October, our health system celebrates team member anniversaries, recognizing those who have achieved milestone years of service within our organization. We will be featuring team members across our ministry all month long!
