Why did you choose your specialty?
I chose pediatrics because working with children is amazing! Children are vulnerable but so resilient and full of potential. Advocating for their care and health as a whole is rewarding. There are implicit diagnostic challenges within pediatrics that keep even the day-to-day care of my patients interesting.

What do you like most about being a doctor?
I became a doctor to help people. While that may sound cliche, it’s true! I hope that I can help others by connecting and sharing knowledge while continuously learning, and by providing the best care possible.
If you weren’t a doctor, what would you do?
If I was not a doctor, then I would probably be serving children and fostering their potential in another way like teaching or providing care as a social worker.
How do you ensure your patients feel heard during their visit?
After listening to their concerns and history, I offer a summary of what they shared so they have the opportunity to validate the information or correct me if needed. Hearing the patients and their caregivers accurately is an essential part of their care.
What is something that people may be surprised to know about you?
People may be surprised to find out my job in college was coaching competition cheerleading teams. Take me to a sporting event and it will probably be more obvious!
Why did you choose the Physician Group?
I chose to work with the Physician Group initially to be part of a quickly growing yet grounded organization. The individual providers matter in this group, and I felt that from the beginning. This has continued to be evident in the daily support I receive from my colleagues and all levels of administration, and it has fueled a renewed satisfaction in my career.
