Why did you choose your specialty?
I chose this specialty because I enjoy people, and internal medicine allows me the opportunity to really get to know patients better.
What do you like most about being a doctor?
I love problem solving and helping people. Medicine allows me to do both!
If you weren’t a doctor, what would you do?
I would be a pilot; I’ve always been fascinated with flight.
How do you ensure your patients feel heard during their visit?
At the end of an appointment, I like to ask if all questions have been answered. Also, I find sitting at eye level whenever possible makes the patient feel more comfortable and echoing what they have said ensures that they feel heard.
What is something that people may be surprised to know about you?
I play a mean bass guitar!
Why did you choose the Physician Group?
I was born and raised in Lafayette. I’ve always known this is where I wanted to live and work. Lourdes was always my family’s hospital of choice and I wanted to be part of an organization I admired. I choose to remain with Lourdes Physician Group because it allows me to work the professionals who share my values.
